My therapy rooms are in Hove (Wednesdays and Fridays) and Lewes (Thursdays)

.

I am a UKCP-registered Educational Psychotherapist with an MA in Educational Psychotherapy from the Caspari Foundation. I have over 15 years’ experience working therapeutically with young people and parents.

My work is grounded in attachment-informed and trauma-responsive practice, helping children and adolescents who may be struggling with anxiety, loss, relational trauma, or disruptions in early relationships. I believe that safe, attuned relationships are the foundation for emotional growth, resilience, and confidence.

I offer individual psychotherapy for children and young people, as well as support for parents and carers, including therapeutic parenting informed by Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). I also run DDP informed sessions with the young person and parent(s) together. My approach is guided by the PACE model — Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy — creating a space where young people feel understood and able to explore their experiences safely. I have an integrative approach where I emphasis creativity.for example using art and storytelling.

I also offer reflective space sessions for carers of young people, such as teachers in primary and secondary schools, housing staff, or multi-disciplinary teams, to develop reflective, attachment-aware approaches to behaviour, learning, and mental health and to support the well being of the practioners.I lead therapeutic staff groups also.

I also supervise therapists and trainee therapists.

I have lectured at the Caspari Foundation on topics including metaphor in therapy, online therapeutic practice, and supporting the emotional life of learning. I contributed to the book Restoring Education, which explores relational and therapeutic approaches to teaching.

At the heart of my work is a belief that when young people feel understood, safe, and emotionally connected, their natural curiosity, confidence, and capacity to learn can flourish.

“My hope is that children and adults can experience life as a place of belonging and meaningfulness — where curiosity, empathy and reflection help us navigate challenges together and grow stronger through them.”
